3 days back we got the first official tease about the upcoming year 4 season 1 of Rainbow Six Siege - Operation Burnt Horizon & now Ubisoft has just released a video teasing the brand new map - Outback, which is set in Australia’s Red Heart.

Take a look-

The Rainbow Six Siege's Twitter post reads- “A homage to all the dusty service stations that populate the forgotten highways of Australia."

Assistant Level Design Director Jacques Wong provides more details about the map, writing “We divided the map into three distinct sections – the Garage, the Motel, and the Restaurant – and put a lot of effort into making sure each section is recognizable, even from far away. Also, “There are specific colors for each section, and we used lighting and geometry to direct the player’s gaze to where they need to go.”

Wong continued by adding “We wanted to emphasize the impact of player decision-making, so for example, there’s a limited number of doors between each section, roamers can still create new paths by destroying walls, and there’s always the option of changing floors as a flanking strategy. It’s a medium-sized map, so players won’t need to go far to find alternative routes.

Outback is inspired by Clubhouse and Oregon, both of which are currently the fan favorites. All three sections of the new map are going to be unique both in-&-out. The rooms are packed with souvenirs and cultural artifacts and players will also meet Norman, the friendly resident mascot.

The upcoming DLC will be marked as the 13th season of Rainbow Six Siege, and Outback map will be the newest and the 21st map playable to each and every player as a part of free DLC.
